DGE “In The News”
Car 602 of the Dayton and Western Traction Co. began its journey toward restoration with the help of DG Equipment Co., Inc. The car carried passengers between Dayton, Ohio and Richmond, Indiana on the electric interurban line in the 1920s. The car was built in 1903 as a 44-foot parlor car and rebuilt in 1923 as a 56-foot parlor lounge trailer. Friends of Dayton and Western 602 bought the car and are hoping to raise enough money to restore the car to its original condition. DG Equipment donated the equipment, personnel and expertise for this historic move.
